BiteyBot Privacy Policy
BiteyBot is a mealtime game for kids, with a companion app for Apple Watch. This policy explains what happens with your information when you use it. The short version: we don't collect any of it.
What BiteyBot collects
Nothing. BiteyBot does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.
- It does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
- It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software.
- It does not connect to the internet and has no links out of the app.
- It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or files.
What stays on your device
Your settings (sound on or off, free play, the parent hold button, the action mode, encouragement on or off, and the wake-up time) are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. Dark Arbor Labs LLC never receives this data. It is deleted when you uninstall BiteyBot or clear the app's data in your device settings.
If you use your device's backup (such as iCloud Backup), your device may include this app data in your own backup under your Apple account's terms. That is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
Apple Watch
When you tap BITE! or Encourage on your Apple Watch, the watch sends a short message to your own iPhone using Apple's built-in connection between the two devices. The message says only that a bite happened or that you asked for encouragement. It is not sent to us or to any other server.
App store
BiteyBot is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect information about installs and your use of the store under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive personal information from Apple about you.
Children
BiteyBot is made for families with young children, and a parent or caregiver confirms each bite. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children, so there is nothing to collect, share, or delete. It has no ads, no purchases, and no way for a child to contact anyone or leave the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and publish the new version at the same address.
