BiteyBot

Mealtime Game for Kids

Mealtime is easier when a friendly robot is waiting for a bite. Your child takes a bite, you confirm it, and the bot celebrates.

BiteyBot, a chrome-and-cyan robot taking a big bite of a hamburger

Built for our own kids

Like every parent, we've come up with tons of tricks to get our kids to eat. BiteyBot takes what we learned and takes it to the next level.

We built it for our own kids, and we use it every day. It works. We hope it works for your family too.

Bite, confirm, celebrate

  1. Your child takes a bite

The bot waits. Until there's a bite, he stays asleep.

  2. You confirm it

Hold the button on your phone, or tap BITE! on your Apple Watch.

  3. The bot celebrates

Your child taps the bot and he puts on a show, with sound effects.

BiteyBot on your wrist

The watch app comes with BiteyBot, with nothing extra to download. Install BiteyBot on your iPhone and it appears on your paired Apple Watch. The screen is just two big buttons, so you can use it with your eyes on your kid.

  1. BITE! (top)

Tap it when your child takes a bite. It turns green and says "Bot is ready!" and stays that way until your child taps the bot, then goes back to BITE!. It always matches what your phone shows.

  2. Encourage (bottom)

Tap it to send the bot over for a bit of encouragement. It says "Sent!" once your phone has it. Keep BiteyBot open on your iPhone for this one.

  3. Vibration only

Every tap gives a quick vibration and nothing else, with no sounds to distract your child. If your iPhone is out of reach, the watch holds your bite for a moment and tells you it's waiting.

The bot does the encouraging

No bite yet?

If your child taps him before taking a bite, the bot shakes his head with a cute "uh-uh" sound.

He wakes up on his own

When things go quiet, the bot walks up and asks for a bite. Pick how often: every 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.

Keeps trying

A few more taps without a bite, and he'll cheer your child on to take one.

Call him over

Tap Encourage on your Apple Watch and the bot comes over, no need to touch the phone.

BiteyBot is made for kids' mealtimes, so it collects nothing and doesn't connect to the internet. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing leaving your device. Questions or ideas? Send them to the address below.
